About our 2025 Irises

Welcome to the 2025 edition of Sutton’s Iris Garden. This year we are both honored and excited to be introducing new iris from world renowned hybridizers Anton Mego, Gary Slagle and Bill tyson! Many incredible introductions this year from these hybridizers. Striking colors, form and patterns incorporated in high quality iris hybrids.

Additional display beds have been created on our home field to better showcase the hundreds of different bearded iris varieties growing in our fields. Our display gardens will officially be open to the public this year however please call ahead for access and parking conditions as there will be highway work at our entry this year. The third week of May is usually the best time to view tall beardeds in full bloom.

Our seedling program is moving forward nicely with many seedlings exhibiting new patterns and colors as well as solid rebloom habits. Increasingly better form and heavily ruffling is becoming common place in our seedling rows which will should merge nicely with the new patterns and multi-colored seedlings we are already working with. In addition we are seeing more and more summer and fall rebloom in our newer seedlings.
